Physical Demands:Good physical and mental health, ability with no limitations to lift, pull, bend, push, walk moderate distances and to sit for long periods of time using proper body mechanics, visual acuity (with corrective lenses, if required) to read printed material and visualize objects, visual acuity to the degree to detect changes in color, hearing ability (with auditory aids, if required) to understand speech in a normal speaking voice without visualizing the speaker, speaking ability to ask and answer pertinent questions and relay information, ability to work under stressful conditions and situations, ability to work under close supervision or independently as required, possibility of exposure to potentially hazardous materials, possibility of having to lift objects up to 30 lbs. As deemed necessary to be in accordance with certification by the Georgia Department of Human Resources Required Skills:Must possess the appropriate level of skill and knowledge for laboratory areas including, but not limited to hematology, clinical microscopy, immunology, microbiology, chemistry, immunohematology, specimen collection, specimen processing, results reporting, quality assurance, and laboratory safety.
