Duties and Responsibilities - Authorized at Class I and Class II stores only. - Sell electronic goods where technical knowledge is required in such areas as: home entertainment systems, surround sound systems, Plasma LCD HDTV, personal computers (PCs), DVD players, cameras, camcorders, MP3 players, etc. - Provides instructions and assists customers with various type basic computer problems/questions such as system and equipment compatibility. - Listen to the needs of the customer in order to inform customers of specific functionality of merchandise, and utilizes skills and knowledge to interest customer in purchasing products. - Explains, recommends various computer and audio/video merchandise and in-home installation services to customers to make buying decision. - Describe product features, demonstrate its use, and explain the difference between various product models. - Assists department manager in arranging space on sales floor, setting up promotional fixtures and displaying promotional merchandise. - Counts promotional items before and after promotional event to determine quantities sold. - Inspects returned computers and components, and audio/video merchandise for proper operation for return to stock and resale.
