If so, we invite you to explore an exciting opportunity with Maui Seaside Hotel + Hampton Inn & Suites Maui North Shore as an Area Security Officer.Primary Mission: The Area Security Officer plays a vital role in supporting the safety and security of multiple properties within a designated region. This role focuses on maintaining a secure, guest-friendly environment by conducting property patrols, responding to incidents, and assisting hotel teams with security-related concerns. This position requires frequent travel between properties and flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li style="line-height:normal">Perform regular patrols of hotel interiors, exteriors, and parking areas across assigned properties.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Monitor and respond to security concerns or safety hazards promptly and professionally.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Complete thorough security incident reports and daily activity logs; escalate incidents to appropriate managers.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Support hotel staff in managing disturbances, emergencies, or guest concerns with professionalism and discretion.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Travel between multiple hotel properties as assigned, sometimes on short notice, to provide on-site security presence and support.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Maintain familiarity with each property's emergency procedures, life safety systems, and key facility layouts.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Assist guests with requests such as escorts to parking areas or general hotel information.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Collaborate with hotel teams to ensure a consistent and visible safety presence.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Assist overnight teams with basic maintenance, guest requests, or valet support as needed.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Participate in ongoing training, including CPR/First Aid, safety drills, and hotel-specific procedures.</li><li style="line-height:normal">All other duties, as assigned. </li></ul>Requirements:Education & Certification:<ul><li style="line-height:normal">High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Valid driver's license required; ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Guard Card and CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). </li></ul> Experience:<ul><li style="line-height:normal">Minimum of 1-2 years of security, military, law enforcement, or hospitality experience preferred. </li></ul>Skills & Abilities:<ul><li style="line-height:normal">Strong communication skills in English; a second language is a plus.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Ability to remain calm and courteous in high-pressure situations.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Physically able to: <ul><li style="line-height:normal">Stand and walk for extended periods across significant distances</li><li style="line-height:normal">Climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace</li><li style="line-height:normal">Bend, kneel, and stoop</li><li style="line-height:normal">Lift, carry, or move up to 100lbs</li><li style="line-height:normal">Respond quickly to emergencies in various environments, including outdoors and in extreme temperatures</li></ul></li><li style="line-height:normal">Comfortable working in varied weather conditions and responding to emergencies.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Working hours will vary based on operational needs.
