With offices throughout the "Intermountain West", The Driver Provider is one of the largest and most dynamic chauffeured transportation companies in the nation, and a great place for Operations professionals who like a fast-paced environment.   Job Summary: The Project Manager would be responsible for all aspects of our contracted shuttle transportation operations on a variety of projects.   This position requires an entrepreneurial spirit tempered with the ability to thrive in a compliance-forward environment. Please be advised, that this is not a position well-suited to "clock-watchers"; It is however an excellent fit for a leader with project management experience in any transportation field or in managing transit or shuttle routes.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be organized, experienced at all aspects of commercial vehicle transportation regulations specifically in the passenger area, with the ability to lead, coach and guide in the areas of expertise, with influence and education. The successful candidate will be an excellent resource and teammate, and perform at a high level of effectiveness with a diverse group of constituents on a consistent basis. <ul><li>Lead end-to-end project management activities, including planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and closure. </li><li>Carries out supervisory responsibilities including planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Accountable for all “Essential duties and responsibilities” listed below. </li><li>Develop detailed project plans and track progress against milestones. </li><li>Responsible for hiring Supervisors and drivers and onboarding. </li><li>Oversees dispatching and replacement buses/operators for vehicles involved in accidents or incidents and buses and operators for special services. </li><li>Ensure completion of Day-to-day operational performance and deliverables. </li><li>Monitor and enforce system for compliance with State and Federal regulations, Company policy, contractual obligations of clients. </li><li>Ensures employee’s fitness for duty. </li><li>Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure operational needs are met while reducing overtime expenses. </li><li>Coordinates and cooperates with maintenance personnel to ensure efficient bus allocation to meet revenue service requirements. </li><li>Perform day-to-day dispatch services from the Control Center and various field locations. </li><li>Maintenance and compliance of transportation vehicles and drivers. </li><li>Promote a culture of safety and service in a fluid transit environment. </li><li>Develop/maintain the policies, procedures, and standards of operation to provide the company's scheduled shuttle transportation services. </li><li>Investigate and resolve service and mechanical issues. </li><li>Compliance with environmental and government regulations. </li><li>High School diploma or equivalent required, BS in Business or related field preferred. </li><li>Previous Project Manager experience with Passenger, fleet, or trucking transportation industry DOT knowledge. </li><li>Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  </li><li>Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, e-mail, and/or database software preferred.  Basic computer skills are required. </li><li>Must be hospitable, guest/customer service oriented, and be willing to serve the needs of passengers. </li><li>Must be able to work flexible days and hours including weekends and holidays. </li><li>Must be able to read a map and possess knowledge of the service area. </li><li>Must be able to operate the company vehicle without the use of DOT prohibited adaptations. </li><li>Must have or be willing to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (level A or B) with Passenger endorsement.  We can train. </li></ul>Job Qualifications and Requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain DOT Physical examination. </li></ul>  Eligibility Requirements:<ul><li>Work in Claude, Texas with travel to other locations as needed. </li><li>Legal authorization to work in the United States. </li><li>23 years or older for company vehicle insurance requirements. </li><li>Undergo a pre-employment background investigation </li><li>Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening. </li><li>Must be willing to submit to criminal background screening. </li><li>Project Management or Transit/Shuttle operations experience </li></ul>Pre-Employment Physical:Must undergo a pre-employment drug test and physical by a company appointed physician/facility and receive clearance. Office work may require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. Field work would require the ability to work outside in various weather conditions and actively enter or travel around in a vehicle. The position will also require the ability to lift, drag and push materials and equipment, paper and documents weighing up to 50 pounds. Special Requirements: (1) Must be willing and able to travel to and attend training and meetings within or outside the boundaries of the home area; (2) Must be willing and able to work outside regular business hours and on occasional weekends, attending meetings, etc. as needed; (3) Prefer a valid CDL, must have a valid driver’s license.
