Under general supervision of the program administer and the direction of a specific certificated staff member, the Community School Instructional Aide/Transportation Vehicle Driver performs the necessary duties in the planning and implementation of a program for at-risk youth in classroom, performs a variety of supportive tasks to facilitate learning activities, and operates a vehicle (i.e. a car, van, or other vehicles capable of transporting up to 9-passengers; excluding a school bus, school pupil activity bus, or youth bus) over designated rural, mountainous routes to transport students safely and efficiently to and from school; to drive students to and from special events without designated routes; to deliver instructional materials, equipment, and various other items; and, to perform related work as required. We also offer adult education services, and a variety of special education services as the Responsible Local Agency ("RLA") for the Special Education Local Plan Area ("SELPA"); including, five special education preschool programs and a program for transition-aged young adults (ages 18-22).
