This role oversees the catering and events team, drives revenue growth through strategic sales and upselling, and ensures exceptional event experiences from inquiry through completion. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position works closely with the Banquets and Food & Beverage teams to deliver seamless event execution while developing systems and processes that support long-term growth. <h5>Key Responsibilities </h5><ul><li>Lead catering and event sales strategy to maximize revenue. </li><li>Grow the wedding and social events market. </li><li>Oversee the full lifecycle of events from inquiry through execution. </li><li>Manage and mentor the events team, including the Wedding Sales Manager and Event Coordinators. </li><li>Partner with Banquets and F&B leadership to ensure seamless operations. </li><li>Develop and implement standard operating procedures and event processes. </li></ul><h5>Qualifications </h5><ul><li>5+ years of hospitality experience in catering, events, or wedding sales. </li><li>Strong background in wedding and social event sales and execution. </li><li>Leadership experience managing or mentoring event teams. </li><li>Experience in luxury or upscale hospitality preferred. </li><li>Ability to balance both sales strategy and operational execution. </li></ul><h5>Compensation & Benefits </h5><ul><li>Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 </li><li>Up to 20% performance bonus + commission incentives </li><li>Employer coverage for health, dental, and vision insurance </li><li>401(k) with company match </li><li>Generous Paid Time Off </li><li>Subsidized housing options </li><li>Relocation assistance available </li></ul>JOB ID: 172594 #post Greg Dickinson

Job Description Position Summary The Sales & Events Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships while supporting the sales and events team in driving business growth. This role serves as a key point of contact for clients once booked at the hotel, managing inquiries, building group blocks, processing payments, and managing rooming lists, and sales initiatives to ensure seamless execution. The Sales & Events Coordinator will utilize Delphi, HMS, and Synxix predominantly, and may assist with proposals, contracts, banquet event orders. This position reports to the Director of Sales. Essential Job Functions/Key Responsibilities • Serve as a primary contact for clients, responding to inquiries and providing detailed event information • Assist in the coordination of site visits, property tours, and client meetings to showcase event spaces and offerings • Assist in processing client deposits, managing payment schedules, and ensuring contract compliance • Collaborate with sales and event managers to generate leads, follow up with clients, and close sales opportunities • Support marketing efforts by preparing promotional materials and assisting with special sales initiatives • Ensure all group handling aligns with 4-star luxury hospitality standards to exceed client expectations • Provide exceptional customer service and build long-term client relationships through proactive communication • Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Experience Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business or related field preferred • Two years of related experience required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Detailed knowledge of sales processes, workflows, and decision-making protocols • Knowledge of company policies and procedures • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite • Knowledge of HMS, Delphi, and Synxix Additional Information Work Environment & Physical Demands • Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements • No adverse or hazardous conditions • Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance Job Benefits This position is classified as a regular full-time position eligible for the following benefits: Enrollment dates differ across the various programs. • Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Programs • Flexible Spending Account Programs • Life Insurance Programs • Paid Time Off Programs • Paid Leave Programs • 401(k) Savings Plan • Employee Ski Pass and Dependent Ski Passes • Other company perks The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
