Assigned to work trade shows/events/fairs/festivals, and community events to generate qualified leads for our talented sales team. Responsible for exceeding issued lead targets and goals administered by the Event Marketing Manager.<ul><li>Interact with potential customers and provide product demonstrations using high energy and positive engagement techniques</li><li>Work well without close supervision but always keeping the manager informed</li><li>Generate and Data Capture show leads for our award-winning products</li><li>Event set up and tear down (ability to lift to 50 pounds)</li></ul>Job Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)</li><li>Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required</li><li>Attention to detail and punctual</li><li>Self-motivated with a strong desire to educate potential customers about our product line</li><li>High level of energy, engagement and standing for extended periods of time at events</li><li>Ability to utilize our proven system to generate qualified leads for our rapidly growing company</li><li>Must have a smartphone to use the Company timekeeping application and submit leads.</li></ul>What we offer:<ul><li>Starting pay: $18 per hour + Commission. Directs and ensures proper execution of all scheduled banquets and meeting events. Oversees banquet functions ensuring the utmost in efficiency and service. Strives to create a Clearly Superior Customer Service experience.Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:<ul><li>Ensures smooth, efficient, professional operation of banquet functions by reviewing all room sets prior to each event</li><li>Coordinates staffing and inventory levels with the Event Coordinator in an effort to provide excellent customer service</li><li>Communicates frequently with the functions meeting planner to ensure all instructions are executed correctly</li><li>Works closely with kitchen to ensure food quality control and presentation standards</li><li>Promotes positive customer relations, handles complaints and suggestions</li><li>Coordinates the function set-up and break down to include proper placement of furniture</li><li>Ensures servers utilize proper placement and removal of entrée/dessert plates, etc</li></ul>Secondary Functions:<ul><li>Reviews all banquet menus and Banquet Event Orders (BEO) with staff</li><li>Assists in the completion of the post-event recap</li><li>Assists in the training of banquet wait staff</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Specific Job Skills:<ul><li>Ability to understand and implement standard operating procedures</li><li>Reads and evaluates Banquet Event Orders</li><li>Devises room sets for smaller functions, including table placement, food locations and décor</li><li>Ability to demonstrate etiquette in table setting and service</li><li>Windows based computer skills required (Word, Excel)</li><li>Strong customer skills required</li><li>Must be able to multi-task between functions running simultaneously</li><li>Must demonstrate leadership skills and promote a positive environment for banquet staff</li></ul>Education and/or Experience:<ul><li>High School diploma or GED required.</li><li>Prior experience in Banquet Services is required.</li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li></ul>Job Conditions:<ul><li>Working conditions include working in an office setting with a computer and other equipment.</li><li>Other conditions include working with the kitchen staff and in the banquet facility.</li><li>Remains flexible and is able to prioritize multiple tasks on a regular basis.</li><li>Conditions also include frequent interruptions, working evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs. while standing, twisting, or bending on a regular or extended period of time.</li><li>Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.</li><li>Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment.</li><li>Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computers, adding machine and routine paperwork.</li></ul>
