DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAYDaytona International Speedway is a state-of-the-art motorsports facility and was awarded the SportsBusiness Journal's prestigious Sports Business Award for Sports Facility of the Year in 2016. Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" \u2013 the DAYTONA 500. Though the prestigious season-opening NASCAR Cup Series event garners most of the attention \u2013 as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the approximately 500-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." Among the nine major weekends of racing activity are the Rolex 24 At DAYTONA, the DAYTONA Supercross, the DAYTONA 200 motorcycle classic and the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include track tours, concerts, civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.Daytona International Speedway is seeking event employees with cable-based TV experience and IPTV network infrastructure repair skills who will interact with our guests and participants during racing events and onsite special events.JOB SUMMARY<ul><li>Inspect, install, repair, and support cable TV and IPTV infrastructure and provide guest support for Daytona Intl. Speedway-related events. This includes large spectator events and track rental support throughoutneeded the year.</li></ul>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<ul><li>Work closely with the DIS Operations, Venue Technology Manager, and Special Event teams on upcoming events.</li><li>Support cable TV and IPTV infrastructure in fan areas to include the Fan Zone, D500 Club, Garage, Venue Suite, and Grandstand areas.</li><li>Install and repair indoor and outdoor RF and Network based TV infrastructure.</li><li>Be able to help add and replace indoor and outdoor TVs across the property.</li><li>Be available to support Cable TV and IPTV issues during all major events at DIS.</li><li>Assist the Event Operations team as need to support events.</li><li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.</li></ul>OTHER DUTIES<ul><li>Be a team player, helping others whenever assistance is needed.</li><li>Provide back up support for PA and AV Departments as needed.</li></ul>TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT NEEDED<ul><li>Basic office systems including but not limited to computer system & programs, cellular phone.</li><li>Proficient with all types of hand and power tools.</li><li>Able to work safely using different types of lifts.</li></ul>ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTSHours will vary but will include all hours the office is open, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary to attend events and to fulfill job responsibilities.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<ul><li>Professional: Minimum of one-year related experience. Projects a professional company image though verbal and written communication. The General Hospitality position is responsible for greeting guests, checking admissions and answering questions our guests may have in our various hospitality locations on race day.
