The event manager will work in a team environment as part of the Land O' Lakes enterprise meeting and events team, while working closely with meeting stakeholders and other internal partners across the enterprise. Manage all event logistics including project plans, creative experience design, budgets, registration, hotel/venue management, transportation, gifting, and all other logistics.

Meeting and Event PlannerThis position is hybrid - requiring the person to be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.Position Purpose:This position is responsible for the development and execution of internal and external meetings and events that support the Land O'Lakes, Inc. enterprise. This position demands understanding and experience of event planning principles, concepts, practices, and industry standards while working in a high-volume position with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. This person will be tasked with the management of planning and executing in-person meetings ranging from 50-300 people. The event manager will work in a team environment as part of the Land O' Lakes enterprise meeting and events team, while working closely with meeting stakeholders and other internal partners across the enterprise.Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead end-to-end planning and execution of assigned meetings and events.</li><li>Manage all event logistics including project plans, creative experience design, budgets, registration, hotel/venue management, transportation, gifting, and all other logistics.</li><li>Develop creative event concepts and agendas aligned with business priorities.</li><li>Build and foster internal and external partner trust by initiating and nurturing strong partnerships.</li><li>Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle.</li><li>Manage DMC and outside vendors, including audio visual, production, entertainment, transportation, gifting and design.</li><li>Stay ahead of the latest experiential innovations and trends in the industry.</li></ul>Required Experience & Education: <ul><li> High school diploma or higher </li><li>5 or more years of professional meeting and event planning experience, preferably in a corporate setting working directly with meeting clients as the lead planner.</li><li>Experience in vendor sourcing, negotiating, and contracting.</li><li>Technical expertise in audiovisual, catering, transportation, hotel housing and key meeting logistics.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, well-executed events.</li><li>Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm, think clearly, and make sound decisions during rapidly shifting priorities.</li><li>Able to establish relationships at various levels of organization, including senior leadership.</li><li>Ability to travel onsite (up to 20%). Flexibility in work schedule is required (to include evenings and weekends, as needed).</li><li>Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Store - MSP-EAGAN, MN Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they're looking for. Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises. Event Coordination<ul><li>Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events. </li><li>Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity. </li><li>Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities. </li><li>Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards. </li><li>Communicate events with clients and store team members. </li><li>Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed. </li><li>Adjust plans and events based on client's feedback and needs. </li><li>Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed. </li><li>Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events. </li><li>Uphold the company's cleanliness and safety standards.
