The Converse Home, a long-standing nonprofit assisted living community, is looking for a creative, compassionate, and energetic Community Life Coordinator to join our team. Working alongside the Community Life Director, you’ll help shape a vibrant, engaging environment where residents feel seen, valued, and connected.

This is a unique opportunity to build genuine relationships with residents while designing programs that bring joy, purpose, and connection to daily life.<br/><br/></div><div><strong>Schedule: part-time every other weekend both Saturday and Sunday </strong> <strong><br/></strong><br/></div><div><strong>Why This Role Matters:</strong></div><div>In this role, you won’t just plan activities-you’ll help create moments that matter. From laughter-filled group programs to quiet one-on-one connections, you’ll play a key part in supporting residents’ emotional, social, physical, and spiritual well-being.<br/><br/></div><div>Working alongside the Community Life Director, you’ll help shape a vibrant, engaging environment where residents feel seen, valued, and connected.<br/><br/></div><div><strong>What You’ll Be Doing:</strong></div><ul><li>Design and share a monthly calendar filled with engaging programs and special events.</li><li>Lead a variety of group and individual activities that inspire participation and joy.</li><li>Build meaningful relationships by learning residents’ life stories, interests, and preferences.</li><li>Partner with other departments to create fun, community-wide events.</li><li>Keep activity spaces organized, welcoming, and ready for use.</li><li>Track and document resident participation and engagement.</li><li>Use the <strong>Best Friends Approach</strong> to support residents living with memory loss through compassion, dignity, and connection.</li></ul><div><br/></div><div><strong>What You Bring:</strong></div><ul><li>Experience working with older adults (assisted living, recreation, or social services preferred).</li><li>A creative mindset and enthusiasm for planning engaging programs.</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills.</li><li>A warm, team-oriented approach and a good sense of humor.</li><li>Flexibility and the ability to adapt to residents’ changing needs.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Why You’ll Love Working Here:</strong></div><div>At The Converse Home, you’ll be part of a close-knit team that truly cares-about our residents and each other.
