Candidates must either currently reside on the East Coast or be willing to relocate to preferably Boston, MA or southern Florida. * • Manages, leads, develops, and mentors high performance teams in the finance, accounting, and procurement functions. • Fosters a culture of teamwork, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. • Develops and executes financial strategies and programs aligned with corporate goals. • Reviews and approves the execution of business strategies for the firm services and programs . • Provides executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities and provides consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations. • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions, providing accurate and relevant advice. • Advises the CEO and Board on financial planning, risk management, and capital structure. • Develops and evaluates short- and long-term strategic financial and operating objectives for the Company, in line with overall business strategy. • Formulates and implements finance, accounting, and procurement programs, policies, and procedures, effectively cascading to the senior financial management to ensure achievement of financial objectives. • Oversees global budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting. • Ensures compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. • Provides recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities. • Directs and oversees all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions, ensuring healthy financial management at business unit and subsidiary levels. • Ensures credibility of the finance function by providing timely and accurate analyses of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts. • Leads the company stock ownership program and policy in accordance with appropriate guidelines. • Leads individuals in the CFO function including finance, accounting, procurement, payroll, treasury, tax, operational finance, and real estate. • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action. • Works with the CEO and executives to identify potential new business opportunities/sources of revenue. • Supports business units with financial modeling and scenario analysis. • Manages and minimizes the company’s financial risk exposure by developing and maintaining systems of internal controls, and ensuring that the finance, accounting and internal audit and risk management functions are operating effectively. • Leads enterprise risk management and internal audit functions working with executive management and the Board of Directors. • Leads and is accountable for all regulatory compliance and ethical financial practices. • Identifies and evaluates M&A opportunities, joint ventures, and capital investments. • Seeks and identifies opportunities to enhance the firm’s financial position and management of financial actions. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary on business demands. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in a AEC environment (i.e., engineering and construction), and/or professional services industries is highly desirable • Experience in a privately-held and/or employee owned organization in a AEC or professional services industry. • Experience in the full life-cycle of federal and municipal contracting compliance, including knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and related regulatory frameworks within each entity. • Current CPA certification. Maintains donor/fundraising data base, generates all donor/fundraising reports, mailing lists, and acknowledgement correspondence.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.Provides clerical support to the Executive Director and Assistant Director as requested. 2.Prepares and mails monthly meeting packets to the Board of Directors, updates Board list as necessary, and prepares Board Orientation binders for new members. 3.Assists with completing grant applications and year end reports as requested. 4.Coordinates printing of bulk mailings, and corrects/updates mailing list as needed in cooperation with the Development Specialist and with input from the Executive Director. 5.Updates networking agreements annually. 6.Maintains donor/fundraising database and generates all acknowledgement correspondence. 7.Helps the Development Specialist with mailings and assists at fundraising events. 8.Provides clerical support to staff if time allows and the Executive Director approves. 9.Performs other related duties as assigned by managementREQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years previous secretarial experience required • Knowledge of various computer programs (Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, Internet, and database systems) • Knowledge of sexual assault/domestic violence issues and previous training on those issues preferred • Knowledge of basic office equipment (copier, adding machine, fax, etc.) • Strong people and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and give attention to detail • Skills in basic administrative duties including typing and filing • Ability to communicate orally in conversation both in person and by telephone • Ability to work well with people from a variety of racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, sexual orientation, and age groups, and with individuals who are differently-abled • Ability to deal with stress-related situations • Ability to work in a team setting and embrace the concept of teamwork • Ability to interact with others and remain focused while dealing with multiple objectives and timelines • Ability to maintain confidentiality • A demonstrated commitment to women and non-violence through previous volunteer work or employment preferred • Willingness to complete the required 64-hours of training for the position within 6-months of employment • Must have reliable transportation and applicable insurance.
