The individual should work in a collegial fashion with adult diabetes physicians and nurse practitioners and with diabetes educators, including nurses, dietitians, and exercise physiologists; Perform academic and scholarly activities; Function as a member of the medical staff of the hospital(s) where he/she practices; Interact with the Clinic and Center Administrators in a positive and constructive fashion; Work collaboratively with the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Nephrology Division with which the Joslin Diabetes Center has a joint clinical venture. The Joslin Kidney and Hypertensive section provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient subspecialty services, including inpatient evaluation of acute kidney injury, critical care consultation, continuous renal replacement therapy, acute and chronic hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, nephrolithiasis, hypertension and outpatient management of CKD and kidney transplant recipients.
