<div><strong>About the Job:</strong></div><div>Responsible for fabricating steel main members (beams and columns) as well as fabricating other projects (tube sockets, roof opening frames, etc…). Fabricators are responsible for the proper placement and assembly of weld parts (piecework). Must be able to read Structural Steel drawings as well as be able to recognize and uphold quality standards. Must be able to MIG weld and work with metal core wire.<br/><br/></div><div><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></div><ul><li>Proficient with cutting torch to cope and detail components for proper fit-up.</li><li>Knowledge of a variety of structural members (beams, channel, angle).</li><li>The layout of holes, cutouts, notches, etc. to specified dimensions and within noted tolerances.</li><li>Must be able to identify and gather components needed from BOM.</li><li>Ability to plan work and keep projects on schedule.</li><li>Must be able to pass a basic tack test and fillet weld test.</li></ul><div><br/></div><div><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></div><ul><li>Must be able to walk and stand throughout an eight-hour day.</li><li>Must be able to consistently lift 80 lbs. or turn over a beam or column.</li><li>Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers in the manipulation of parts and weld gun.</li><li>Must demonstrate good hand/eye coordination.</li><li>Must demonstrate good manual dexterity.</li><li>Must be able to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings, and perform normal math calculations easily.</li><li>Must have strong general mechanical skills.</li><li>Must be able to pass drug and criminal background screenings.</li></ul>

Job Summary:
<p style="margin:0px">MOR PPM Inc. is seeking Welder/Fabricators in Aiken, SC.</p><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Read blueprints to craft and fabricate tire manufacturing equipment and components</li><li>Repair equipment as needed; replace faulty equipment</li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty equipment and components</li><li>Weld using mig, tig, or stick</li><li>Operate lifts and cranes to install equipment and components</li></ul><p style="margin:0px"><strong>Experience:</strong></p><p style="margin:0px">2+ years experience welding/fabricating is required. 2 years industrial maintenance experience, preferred. Technical training preferred but not required. Pipe fitting experience preferred.</p><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px"><strong>Qualifications & Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings</li><li>Valid drivers license</li><li>Proficient in GTAW/GMAW/FCAW and acetylene welding</li><li>Basic set of hand tools is required</li><li>Ability to proficiently operate power tools used for metal fabrication</li><li>Ability to work at heights and manipulate tools in small spaces</li><li>Interpersonal skills such as oral, verbal and written communication and reasoning is required.</li></ul><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px"><strong>Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds</li><li>Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above</li><li>Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas</li><li>Must have full range of motion consistent with age</li><li>Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders</li><li>Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises</li><li>Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces</li><li>Safety/Steel toe shoes are required. </li></ul><p style="margin:0px">#ppm</p>
