<h5>Hose Welder </h5>The Hose Welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal hose components and related products in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Job Duties and Responsibilities <ul><li>Perform GTAW andother required welding processes to fabricate and assemble metal hose components, fittings, and assemblies. </li><li>Cut hoses to length and attach flanges, fittings, and related components based on job specifications and customer requirements. </li><li>Interpret job orders, blueprints, and work instructions to determine materials and fabrication methods. </li><li>Set up, operate, and maintain fabrication equipment, including welding machines, cutting tools, and forming equipment. </li><li>Cross-train and operate machinery used for gasket and hose production, including cutting, forming, and finishing equipment. </li><li>Perform hydrostatic pressure testing on hose assemblies to ensure product integrity and detect leaks. </li><li>Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications using visual inspection and measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers). </li><li>Maintain accurate quality and production records, including weld certifications and testing documentation. </li><li>Ensure all work meets company and customer quality standards. </li><li>Prepare completed orders and documentation for transfer to Packing/Shipping. </li><li>Deliver finished products and required paperwork to the appropriate departments. </li><li>Verify completion of daily production tasks within the hose shop. </li><li>Assist in meeting production schedules and customer delivery requirements. </li><li>Receive, verify, and stock incoming materials in designated storage locations. </li><li>Conduct physical inventory counts and maintain accurate material records. </li><li>Review hose and fitting inventory levels and recommend reorder quantities. </li><li>Pick required materials such as gaskets, bolts, nuts, and washers for production. </li><li>Properly store excess materials and dispose of scrap in accordance with procedures. </li><li>Operate a forklift to move materials as needed (or become certified). </li><li>Accurately enter job and production data into systems (e.g., Syteline) and maintain logbooks. </li><li>Successfully completes welding test for certification and Quality Assurance records. </li><li>Assist in training and onboarding new employees. </li></ul>Skills <ul><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical instructions. </li><li>Strong welding and fabrication skills (GTAW preferred). </li><li>Ability to accurately read measuring tools, including tape measures (down to 1/32"), calipers, and micrometers. </li><li>Basic math skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. </li><li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written). </li><li>Ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and equipment. </li><li>Basic computer/data entry skills for production tracking systems. </li><li>Leadership ability and willingness to support team development. </li></ul>Education <ul><li>Required: High school diploma, GED or equivalent. </li><li>Required: Must be able to successfully complete Lamons yearly weld test certification. </li><li>Required: GTAW Welding Certificate. </li></ul>Work Experience <ul><li>Required: Minimum of 2 years manufacturing/hose fabrication experience. </li><li>Preferred: Previous gasket, bolt, or hose experience. </li><li>Preferred: Warehouse or fabrication yard or shop experience. </li></ul>Physical Requirements <ul><li>Ability to lift 25–50 pounds regularly. </li><li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. </li><li>Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity. </li><li>Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy environments. </li><li>Ability to become forklift certified. </li></ul>Benefits Summary <ul><li>This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes: </li><li><ul><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance </li><li>401(k) with company match </li><li>Paid time off and company holidays </li></ul></li></ul>
