Summary You will serve as a PLASTIC FABRICATOR LEADER (EXPERT) in the DEPARTMENT OF NAVY to include work site of Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Learn more about thisagency Duties Help <ul><li>You will serve as the principal Plastic Fabricator Expert for the crew and perform inspections of deficient coatings and work in process to ensure supervisor direction is followed, proper standards and practices are followed and rework inminimized.</li><li>You will conduct random surveillance inspections of in-process preservation to ensure quality and compliance with minimum preservation requirements.</li><li>You will determine the methods, techniques, materials and devices best suited to perform work with various resins, epoxies, floor coverings, plastic laminates, sound damping, insulation, composite materials and wood.</li><li>You will prepare, lay out and direct subordinate crews of up to 20 to apply, manufacture and repair coating materials on wood, metal, glass, synthetic and other surfaces.</li><li>You will provide feedback to design engineers on material characteristics, methods and techniques of manufacture and repair directly effecting design specifications (e.g., strength, durability, cost and aerodynamics).</li></ul> Requirements Help Conditions of employment <ul><li>Must be a US Citizen.</li><li>Must be determined suitable for federal employment.</li><li>Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.</li><li>New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Responsibilities:
