This role ensures high-quality workmanship that meets engineering and production specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities<br/><br/>- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on structural and precision components according to blueprints and specifications. <br/>- Set up welding equipment, select appropriate materials, and adjust settings based on project requirements.<br/>- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, fabrication drawings, and technical documents. <br/>- Verify dimensions and tolerances to ensure accuracy in fabrication.<br/>- Inspect completed welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and undercuts. <br/>- Use measuring tools, gauges, and visual inspection methods to confirm dimensional accuracy and weld quality.<br/>- Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, and cutting torches. <br/>- Perform routine maintenance on welding machines and related tools<br/>- Follow all company, OSHA, and safety procedures to maintain a hazard-free work area. <br/>- Report safety concerns, faulty equipment, or material shortages to the supervisor. <br/><br/><br/><br/>Qualifications:<br/><br/>- High school diploma or GED required. Technical or trade school certification in welding preferred.<br/>- Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.<br/>- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes. <br/>- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and metal properties. Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings. <br/>- Familiarity with fabrication equipment and hand tools.<br/>- AWS (American Welding Society) certification preferred or equivalent.<br/>- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. <div>Winholt Equipment is seeking a full-time Welder.<br/><br/><strong>POSITION OBJECTIVE:</strong></div><div>Responsible for fitting and welding of aluminum and stainless steel parts using a MIG and/or TIG process. Responsibilities:
<p style="margin-bottom:0in"><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong> </p><ul><li>Ability to weld on a flat, curved, or vertical surface. </li><li>Ability to set a welding machine, including the gas, volts, amps, and wire speed. </li><li>Ability to weld in a variety of positions, particularly overhead. </li><li>Be able to make minor adjustments to the welding equipment as needed. </li><li>Properly load raw materials, parts, etc., into the welding machine. </li><li>Removes work pieces and scrap from machines. </li><li>Files, grinds, or scrapes sharp edges, burrs, scales, or rust from work pieces. </li><li>Hammers out bent or warped spots in metal. </li><li>Sorts, marks, tags finished work. </li><li>Transports material or signal crane operator to move materials. </li><li>Compares work piece with straight edge or template to verify conformance to specifications. </li><li>Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. </li><li>Performs other routine duties as needed. </li></ul>

Qualifications:
<p style="margin:0px"><strong>YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)</strong> </p><ul><li>Employee must be able to use pneumatic power tools and equipment of all types. </li><li>Employee must be able to accurately read a tape measure. </li><li>Employee must be able to perform and remember how to perform multiple tasks from day to day. </li><li>Employee must be able to perform the physical requirements listed in that section of this job description. </li><li>Employee must look for potential cost savings in the work process, help keep scrap and waste to a minimum and be efficient in the use of all supplies. </li><li>The employee must perform the assigned tasks in a way they meet or exceed the required production level. </li><li>The quantity of units, parts, assemblies and/or installations expected will vary with the process performed, customer specification, volume, and location. </li><li>Welder must inspect his/her product as instructed by standard operating procedures. </li></ul><p style="margin-bottom:11.55pt"><strong>PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to do heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) multiple times daily in an 8-to-12-hour shift. </li><li>Ability to stand and move about on concrete 8- 12 hours a day.
