The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for general warehouse labor including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling within a distribution center. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and pallet scales.

Warehouse Assistant – Enfield, CT Location: Enfield, CT 06082 Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Available Shifts (Full-Time): <ul><li>Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM</li><li>Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM</li></ul> Position Overview The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for general warehouse labor including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling within a distribution center. This role requires physical work, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards while supporting daily warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Perform shipping and receiving of products within the distribution center</li><li>Process UPS and LTL shipments including picking, packing, palletizing, and documentation</li><li>Receive incoming products, verify counts, and store in appropriate locations</li><li>Assist with loading and unloading trucks</li><li>Conduct inventory control and cycle counting</li><li>Fulfill product sample shipment requests</li><li>Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and pallet scales</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment</li><li>Follow all safety, health, environmental (SHE), and security procedures</li><li>Participate in audits to ensure compliance with facility standards</li><li>Learn and utilize warehouse systems (Oracle experience preferred)</li></ul> Qualifications <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>Previous warehouse experience preferred</li><li>Basic computer skills (PC literate); Oracle experience a plus</li><li>Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack (or willingness to learn)</li><li>Ability to read, write, and understand English</li><li>Strong attention to detail and safety awareness</li><li>Ability to perform physical labor in a warehouse environment</li></ul> Additional Information <ul><li>Project duration through December 31, 2024</li><li>No opportunity for contract-to-hire</li><li>Drug screen and background check required</li><li>No additional physical fitness testing required</li></ul>If you are interested, please reach out to Chin Yang at A-Line Staffing<div>. 586-323-4194</div> | <div>cyang@alinestaffing.com</div>. <ul><li>Provide training on warehouse equipment</li><li>Receiving, warehouse control and inventory control</li><li>Participating in scheduled warehouse inventories</li><li>Receiving an items warehouse staff</li><li>Assisting in the organization of the warehouse</li><li>Performing a variety of warehouse related tasks</li><li>Operate forklifts in the warehouse and factory</li><li>Place materials in the proper warehouse location</li><li>Operate all lifts utilized within the warehouse</li><li>Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment</li><li>Maintain warehouse security at all times/li</li><li>Coming in and going out of the warehouse</li><li>Flow through warehouse on the way to the customer</li><li>Flow through the warehouse on the way to the customer</li><li>Maintain clean work environment in the warehouse area</li><li>Improve overall efficiency and functionality of the warehouse</li><li>Pull in delivery trucks and lock up warehouse</li><li>Inspecting for damage and leaks</li><li>Manage inventory locations within the warehouse</li><li>Assist with shipping and receiving functions in the warehouse</li></ul>
