Ensure safety-related project requirements are properly reflected in engineering deliverables, including equipment guarding, access and egress, maintenance clearances, lifting requirements, hot surfaces, chemical exposure, pressure and temperature hazards, ventilation needs, interlocks, alarms, and emergency shutdown requirements. Confirm safety-critical deliverables such as P&IDs, control philosophies, functional specifications, equipment layouts, access platforms, and interlock descriptions are reviewed for consistency with project hazards and operating requirements.
