This position will be responsible for assisting the Program Coordinator, Studio Manager, faculty, staff, and students during scheduled classes and Open Studio periods with their course-related technical fashion design projects. Currently enrolled Stevenson University student in good standing with the University, both academically and judicially Fashion Design major with at least a 3.0 GPA.

This position will be responsible for assisting the Program Coordinator, Studio Manager, faculty, staff, and students during scheduled classes and Open Studio periods with their course-related technical fashion design projects.Education/ExperienceCurrently enrolled Stevenson University student in good standing with the University, both academically and judicially Fashion Design major with at least a 3.0 GPA. Junior status, and previous technical fashion design experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/AbilityAbility to work at least 7.5 hours per week during the academic semester.Proficient in clothing construction, flat patternmaking, draping, tailoring, and the operation of sewing and pressing equipment.Ability to guide the fashion design students in executing their technical fashion design projects.Ability to work effectively with the faculty, professional staff, and peers in the Fashion Design program.Ability to assist the instructors during scheduled technical fashion design classes during the day and evening.Ability to work independently and supervise Open Studio periods for students during the day.Ability to read, listen, and communicate information and ideas through spoken and written language.Ability to use various means of communication (e.g. telephone, computer, other electronic devices) to work with students, peers, and outside contacts.Must be organized, dedicated, punctual, responsible, and detail-oriented.Must have excellent time management skills and be ability to work under pressure.Physical RequirementsMedium work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
