The individual will partner with Federal Sales team and serve as a technical influencer leading the targeting complex Federal requirements. The Sales Engineer will leverage Comcast's dense Metro infrastructure and full suite of WAN and Managed Network Services to help the Federal Government transform legacy network architectures to modern standards. This role requires a broad understanding of access and networking technologies with emphasis on Managed Services, Professional Services, Ethernet, Optical and IP Networking.

This a highly collaborative position that requires ability to work well under pressure and under challenging deadlines related to proposals that have executive visibility. 

This position is designed to focus around three main requirements –

2. Complex design and additional partner-provided capabilities 
3. Continual learning to stay current on industry trends in a constantly evolving world.

The Federal Sales Engineer role will be in office four days per week at either the Maryland or Reston Comcast Business offices (8031 Corporate Dr, Baltimore, MD or 11951 Freedom Dr Ste 900, Reston, VA).Job Description Core Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop solutions leveraging Comcast Managed Network Services portfolio including Managed Broadband, Managed Router, Managed WiFi, Managed Security, Unified Communications/Voice and Ethernet products.</li><li>Attends customer meetings in person and via the phone. Interacts with all levels of customer's management team to drive new sales.</li><li>Engineer customized highly available networks adapted specifically for the unique requirements while staying within set budgets and financial targets.</li><li>Documents, via diagrams and writing, and presents the solution to the customer while describing the benefits of the solution and building relationships with customers as a trusted advisor.</li><li>Generate as-built diagrams internally and externally as required, provide post sale support to implementation and operations teams ongoing.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of RFP’s, designing cost-effective solutions plus solving configuration challenges through the standard or Individual Case Basis (ICB) process.</li><li>Collaborate with Network Engineering and Solutions Architecture, Product Management and Marketing teams to fully support the Presales Effectiveness of the Sales Engineering teams.</li><li>Participate in strategic and tactical account planning.</li><li>Possess and maintain the business acumen to anticipate future trends, competitive landscape, understand how organizations generate profits and manages cost and translate market knowledge into business opportunities.</li><li>Lead the introduction of a new product, process or technology within the Comcast Business Sales Engineering community.</li><li>Acts as a technical expert for all Comcast Business products and services.</li><li>May work independently or as part of a team on more complex projects and accounts.</li><li>Provides updates and accurate reporting to leadership on specific customer due dates, network/capital costs and other portions of current opportunities.</li><li>May be responsible for leading a team but does not directly manage people.</li><li>Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.</li><li>Must be able to travel regularly as required.</li><li>Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. This opening is slated to kick off in the Spring or Summer 2025. The PM PNT system engineering and technical assistant (SETA) requirement in the areas of administrative, business management, programmatic contracting, information technology (IT), program management, engineering, logistics, test and evaluation (T&E), training, operations, security, technology protection, foreign military sales, and acquisition and strategic planning services. The SETA services provided to PM PNT shall support the planning, development, management, sustainment, and execution of the U.S. Army’s PNT portfolio. PM PNT provides coordinated PNT system of systems architecture and associated PNT products for the Army’s mounted and dismounted platforms. PM PNT is the Army’s lifecycle manager for the Mounted Assured PNT System (MAPS), Dismounted Assured PNT System (DAPS), Assured Protection and Alt Nav Technology Development; and the Resiliency and Software Assurance Measures (RSAM)., as well as any future PNT efforts in both the Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside the Contiguous United States (OCONUS). Historically this effort has been performed by 70 full time equivalents (FTE).<h2>Salary Range</h2>Full pay range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000 per year, with the starting wage determined based on candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, as well as budget availability.<h2>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below</h2><ul><li>Shall develop plans, briefings, information papers, reports, and correspondence,</li><li>including schedules and monitors essential FMS case milestones and tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program(s). </li><li>Will conduct research and perform program evaluations affecting the development of long-range program plans and evaluate the suitability of readiness of FMS Cases for offer and/or implementation.</li><li>Serves as the FMS focal point to address all FMS inquiries; coordinates with the product managers and supports staff to meet the specific information requests from the foreign customers.</li><li>Work PM PNT FMS process from case development, implementation, execution, to closure.</li><li>Works across the program to posture the PM to support future FMS requests.</li><li>Coordinates and collaborates with the Foreign Disclosure Officer and Security Assistance in preparation of programmatic and/or technical information for disclosure to foreign customers.</li><li>Updates and maintains the Delegation of Disclosure Authority Letter (DDL) and coordinates with technical staff.</li></ul><h2>Education, Requirements and Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Active Secret level security clearance is required</li><li>Bachelor's and 7 years' of related experience.</li><li>Must have extensive knowledge and technical expertise in the DoD FMS Acquisition Policy and Process.</li><li>Experience developing, analyzing and managing all aspects of Army Foreign Military Sales cases. </li><li>Knowledge of FMS sales process from case development, implementation, execution, to closure in accordance with the Security Assistance.</li><li>Knowledge of the Arms Export Control Act, the Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM), and the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR).</li><li>Requires excellent attention to detail.
