Terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cable assemblies • Install and remove blown optical fiber systems • Perform splicing and support tasks on shipboard fiber optic networks • Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work item instructions • Operate optical test equipment to verify cable performance • Document test and inspection results in accordance with customer requirements • Maintain and calibrate termination and test equipment • Work in shipboard environments including confined spaces, heights, and varying temperatures • Travel domestically and internationally as needed • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to support business. Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, stretch, reach, squat, and twist for extended periods Capable of lifting, carrying, and transporting equipment and boxes weighing 30 lbs or more Comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces, and aboard ships in industrial environments Must be able to work in conditions involving heat, humidity, noise, and exposure to dust or dirt Able to work aloft or over the sides of vessels when required.
