We are looking for a PRODUCTION ASSISTANT to join our Buffalo, IA plant. As a Production Assistant with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will be responsible to support the cement manufacturing process..Why apply?<ul><li>Competitive wages.</li><li>Opportunities for overtime.</li><li>Company provided benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Company paid life and disability benefits, paid vacation, and 401K.</li></ul>About the Role  Responsibilities:<ul><li>Inspect and operate mobile equipment; perform general labor using basic hand tools.</li><li>Performs general utility work including pushing up piles of rock and coal with front end loader and other equipment, unplugging belts, and general labor work as directed. </li><li>Provides operational oversight for all plant equipment from the rock storage building through the finish mill operations.</li><li>Cleans the pre-heater tower riser and associated ductwork during the shift. </li><li>Responds to all alarms, equipment issues, and emergencies and assures that they are taken care of appropriately.</li><li>Fills out daily checklist for operations of all plant equipment and for environmental compliance on all operating equipment. </li><li> Keeps abreast of all changes that are made in the control systems while keeping the control room involved and informed of changes. </li><li>Troubleshoots process problems associated with field operations and equipment and may adjust equipment as directed or as dictated by circumstance. </li><li>Monitor, adjust, and support plant equipment and processes.</li><li>Maintain accurate logs, communicate operational issues, and support environmental compliance.</li><li>Other duties may be required and will be assigned as necessary. </li></ul>About YouWe Require:<ul><li>A high school diploma or GED.</li><li>A minimum of 1–year of industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing experience.</li><li>Good organizational and math skills.</li><li>Computer literacy.</li><li>Good mechanical aptitude. </li><li>Ability to physically work both indoor and outdoor in various weather conditions.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends) to support a 24/7 operation. </li><li>Welding experience a plus.</li></ul>About UsEach day brings new challenges, and we make sure you are prepared for it all.
