Skill 3 (Intermediate): Use miter saw and table saw with basic finish terminology; see ahead and install siding to a given layout with correct cutting of trim, clapboards, siding, and flashings; install simple roofing with correct flashing and fastening; read all plan types — elevations, floor plans, sections, details — and find the information needed; know and use the proper materials for the application and make a comprehensive materials list for the work at hand. Complete any assigned carpentry task independently with minimal explanation from senior carpenters: framing, exterior trim, windows, doors, siding, roofing, interior doors and trim of all varieties, cabinet and appliance installation, wood floors, drywall, and stairs as needed.
