Skills/Abilities: Considerable skill in the use and operation of hand and power tools such as concrete saws, chain saws, shovels, picks, jack hammers and rakes as well as other equipment applicable to assignments; ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time and during unfavorable weather conditions; ability to read and write; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to interpret maps and sketches; ability to operate laser; ability to repair concrete and rake asphalt; ability to make simple mathematical calculations; ability to make decisions and plan job tasks. Essential Job Functions: Performs manual tasks involved in the maintenance, repair and rehabilitation of asphalt and composite streets including but not limited to: large and small roadway base repairs, shoulder repairs, level ups, walkways, driveways, joint and crack sealing, potholes and street patching.
