Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Inspect, test, service, troubleshoot, program, and repair fire alarm and life safety systems in compliance with NFPA 72, manufacturer specifications, and local codesPerform scheduled testing including annual, semi‑annual, quarterly, and acceptance testingProgram, modify, and verify fire alarm control panels and system devices to ensure proper operationAssist with system updates related to device replacement, system modifications, and code complianceIdentify system issues, document deficiencies, and recommend corrective actionsComplete clear, accurate, and timely inspection, testing, and service reportsCoordinate with customers, general contractors, and AHJs during inspections and testingRespond to service calls and emergency repair requests as neededFollow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite proceduresMaintain company vehicle, tools, and testing equipmentSupport and assist junior technicians when neededRequired Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED3-5+ years of fire alarm service experienceExperience working with and programming fire alarm control panelsFamiliarity with fire alarm panels such as Notifier, Silent Knight, Fire‑Lite, Edwards, Siemens, Simplex, or similar systemsWorking knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable local fire codesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and system documentationStrong troubleshooting skills with electrical and low‑voltage systemsGood organizational and time‑management skillsAbility to work independently in the fieldStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including a valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle recordPreferred Qualifications:NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level I or IIExperience with smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, horn/strobes, and monitoring interfacesKnowledge of IP and cellular communicatorsBasic understanding of fire sprinkler supervisory and monitoring devices (water flow switches, valve tampers).
