This role involves setting up and taking down traffic control signs, cones, and barricades to ensure the safety of workers and the public. The Flagger uses hand signals, signs, and other traffic control devices to communicate with motorists and guide them safely through or around the work area. The position requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and the capability to stand for extended periods. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</div><ul><li>Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices around work areas to divert traffic.</li><li>Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.</li><li>Maintain clear and effective communication with team members using two-way radios.</li><li>Regularly required to stand and walk and reach with hands and arms for up to 10 hours a day.</li><li>Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items over 50 pounds.</li><li>Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to and from job sites.</li><li>Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.</li><li>Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, moving equipment and machinery parts, moving traffic, fumes, and airborne particles.</li><li>Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate to loud.</li><li>Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><div>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:</div><ul><li>Valid Driver’s License.</li><li style="line-height:20px">Must pass a background check, including motor vehicle records check.</li><li>Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.</li><li>Wear proper safety equipment (work boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest).</li><li>Operate 2-way radio.</li><li>Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings.</li><li>Provide effective communication with contractors and internal teams while delivering the highest level of customer service.</li><li>Work well in a team environment.</li><li>Must have excellent attendance, reliable transportation, and a strong work ethic.</li><li>Successfully complete the ATSSA Flagger training course and company-sponsored Defensive Driver training.</li><li>Willingness to travel statewide, with occasional overnight stays, and ability to work nights and weekends as required by projects.</li><li>Must be available for a rotating on-call schedule.</li></ul><div>EOE Statement RoadSafe is an Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans</div>

This includes setting up, monitoring, and removing lane closures on state highways and other roadways, redirecting traffic for workers or survey crews, and ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations. The Supervisor leads traffic control crews, ensures job site safety, mentors team members, and manages project documentation. This role also involves transporting equipment and safety products to and from job sites. Essential Functions</div><ul><li>Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.</li><li>Lead daily traffic control crews, including Traffic Control Technicians and Flaggers, with demonstrated leadership and advanced knowledge of traffic control.</li><li>Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies.</li><li>Deliver daily toolbox talks and job-specific safety training to crew members.</li><li>Mentor and train new hires in proper traffic control and safety procedures.</li><li>Ensure all timesheets, work tickets, and job documentation are completed accurately and submitted daily.</li><li>Operate MOT (Management of Traffic) and TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicles on job sites to protect workers and work zones.</li><li>Set up, monitor, and remove temporary construction signs, arrow boards, variable message boards, traffic cones, and other traffic safety devices.</li><li>Inspect work zones throughout the shift to ensure proper placement of traffic control devices and overall site safety.</li><li>Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports as needed.</li><li>Perform shop duties including general maintenance and repair of traffic control equipment.</li><li>Maintain accurate inventory of traffic control devices and related materials.</li><li>Travel to various job sites as required, including occasional overnight stays.</li><li>Perform other work-related duties as assigned to support operational goals.</li></ul><div> Qualifications: Education & Experience:</div><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.</li><li>Minimum of 3–4 years (6,000+ hours) of traffic control experience.</li><li>ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification required.</li><li>Must successfully complete the ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor advanced training course.</li><li>Proven experience setting up traffic control operations on state and local roadways.</li></ul><div> Skills & Knowledge:</div><ul><li>Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local traffic safety regulations.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret road signs, work orders, and safety guidelines.</li><li>Proficient in completing paperwork and project documentation accurately.</li><li>Familiarity with delivery vehicle operation and cargo securing procedures.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and minor repairs.</li></ul><div> Physical & Other Requirements:</div><ul><li>Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. for extended periods.</li><li>Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments.</li><li>Must be able to work nights, weekends, and be part of a rotating on-call schedule.</li><li>Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and meet federal DOT requirements.</li><li>Willingness to travel statewide as project demands require.</li></ul><div> EOE Statement RoadSafe is an Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans</div>
