How you'll make an impact in this role:
<ul><li>The Ascension St. Vincent Critical Care Transport (CCT) team, accredited by CAMTS, offers safe, quality, evidence-based, ICU-level transport for adult, neonatal, pediatric, and maternal fetal patients using industry-leading equipment.</li><li>You will gain in-house education (PHTLS, AMLS, ACLS, PALS, BLS, EVOC, Audit and Review, NRP) on a rolling calendar, allowing affiliated EMTs and Paramedics to use in-house Medical Directors for re-certification.</li><li>Collaborate with the transport physician and/or Registered Nurse to identify, intervene, and stabilize patients during interfacility and intrafacility transfers.</li><li>Monitor, accurately record, and communicate the patient's condition and treatment administered. Report observations and follow directives from receiving medical personnel upon arrival.</li><li>Ensure the safety of the transport team, patient by inspecting, maintaining, and caring for all equipment.</li></ul>

What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:<ul><li>Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li><li>BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li><li>Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.</li><li>Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.</li><li>Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.</li><li>Emergency Medical Tech specializing in ER Vehicle Operation credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. EmergencyVehicle Operator Course (EVOC), or Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) credentialed from Coaching Systems required.</li><li>Paramedic credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.</li><li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Outside of industry-leading equipment, these crews are staffed with diverse backgrounds including Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Paramedics and EMTs. This is how our teams can safely coordinate and manage a wide range of emergency calls that include adults, pediatrics and neonatal patients. We work closely with Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St Vincent to ensure we have the team members available to coordinate all pediatric or neonatal calls. We are committed to safety in every transport, quality care delivery for every patient, and securing tomorrows for the patients we serve while strengthening communities. In-house education offered on a rolling calendar at both a departmental and organizational level. Classes include but not limited to: PHTLS, AMLS, ACLS, PALS, BLS, EVOC, Audit and Review, and NRP. EMT's and Paramedics are able to affiliate with the Critical Care Transport department. In-house Medical Directors to sign off re-certifications for both EMT's and Paramedics.
