This role requires a “jack of all trades” mindset, with the ability to assist across multiple phases of construction while working closely with the Project Manager. The 3rd Class Marine Carpenter is an entry-level skilled trades position responsible for assisting in the construction, repair, and installation of basic access and support structures aboard vessels and in the shipyard. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, exposure to noice, and industrial hazards.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Safety-conscious mindset</li></ul>No overtime is guaranteed, but some projects do require overtime. This could be more than 40 hours during the normal Monday- Friday work week, work on the weekends or both. Some projects do have a night shift.
