This position blends technical accounting work with a strong service mindset—perfect for someone who values accuracy and people.<h2> What You'll Do</h2>You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records while delivering exceptional service aligned with our Service Promises, including being knowledgeable, trustworthy, respectful, and solutions‑focused in every interaction.Key responsibilities include:<ul><li>Reconcile cash accounts and various general ledger accounts</li><li>Maintain effective day‑to‑day accounting operations</li><li>Ensure accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are followed</li><li>Answer member calls professionally and promptly</li><li>Post reimbursement requests and assist with cashier check escheatment processes</li><li>Create, maintain, and improve departmental and accounting reports</li><li>Review procedures and recommend efficiencies or improvements</li><li>Assist with plastic card maintenance and ordering</li><li>Cross‑train to support Accounting Specialist III</li><li>Coordinate corporate vehicle reservations and oversee routine maintenance</li><li>Support special projects and other duties as assigned</li></ul><h2> What We're Looking For</h2>Required Qualifications<ul><li>College degree in accounting or a related field or comparable relevant experience</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Prior accounting and/or related experience</li><li>Familiarity with a credit union or financial institution environment (a plus)</li></ul><h2> Skills & Success Factors</h2>The ideal candidate is:<ul><li>Professional, organized, and detail‑oriented</li><li>A strong communicator with sound judgment and problem‑solving skills</li><li>Able to work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Comfortable prioritizing work and handling frequent interruptions</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint</li><li>Experience with a financial institution core system or reporting system is a plus</li></ul><h2> Why Join Us?</h2>You'll be part of an organization committed to serving members with integrity, respect, and care—while supporting employees' growth and success.
