Consistent with our Mission and the philosophy of child/family centered care, the Assistant Nursing Manager will participate in the QAPI process to identify opportunities for system improvements and will establish collegial interdisciplinary relationships in order to foster communication and growth between nursing and other departments The Assistant Nurse Manager will function as an advocate for residents and their families through a culturally competent, trauma informed approach that will include escalating and participating in the family grievance process, attending clinical status meetings daily, communicating concerns to the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring families are kept updated with clinical concerns and changes that are reported through the incident reporting process. This includes working in collaboration with the Nurse Manager and the neighborhood staff to balance schedules and maintain staffing levels that are consistent with resident needs, including needs as defined by their Plan of Care, activity and daily schedules, outside and in-house clinic visits, and school programs.
