No weekend rotation.     The Coordinator, Inventory Control assists with the daily operation and staffing of Inventory Control and Linen Departments. Participate in the orientation, training and in-servicing of new employees. Assign and direct activities of Inventory Control Clerks and Linen Clerks. Responsible for the department in the absence of the Supervisor and Manager.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Assumes responsibility for the operation of Inventory Control and Linen Room in the absence of the Supervisor and Manager</li><li>Supervises and works with Inventory Control and Linen employees</li><li>Problem-solves within the department and Network-wide in matters related to the activities of the department</li><li>Participates in the orientation of new employees.  Assists with teaching, orienting and in-servicing storeroom and linen employees</li><li>Maintains established departmental and Network policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, environmental and infection control standards</li><li>Gathers statistics, maintains required records in an orderly manner</li><li>Provides input into employee evaluations</li><li>Compares computer balances and periodic sampling checks of physical inventory and makes adjustments as necessary</li><li>Arranges adequate space requirements for storage of products.  Modifies distribution techniques and practices as required to ensure incoming goods are routed to the proper destination</li><li>Orders and delivers supplies.  Maintains inventory control in assigned areas to ensure adequate stock turnover rate</li></ul>PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:Standing for up to 6 hours, up to 3 hours at a time.  Walking for up to 6 hours per day, 1 hour at a time.  Sitting for up to 2 hours per day, 1 hour at a time.  Frequently uses fingers for data entry, etc.  Frequently uses hands for stocking of shelves, etc.  Frequently uses upper extremities to lift up to 50 pounds.  Frequently stoops, bends, or reaches above shoulder level.  Hearing as it relates to normal conversation.  Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and visual monotony.  Frequently pushing and pulling carts weighing up to 500 pounds.EDUCATION:Associate degree in business administration and/or supervisory experience with 7-10 years' experience in the following departments:  Storeroom, Receiving, Purchasing and Linen required.  Thorough knowledge of inventory control and warehousing.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:Three to five years' experience in Storeroom, Purchasing or Linen. The position will require a significant degree of judgment in the performance of assigned duties.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Directly assists Radiologist during all aspects of interventional radiology procedures as directed by the appropriate supervisor.</li><li>Responsible for the continuity of care of patients while they are in the interventional radiology section.</li><li>Communicates to Radiologist clinical observations during interventional radiology procedures.</li><li>Demonstrates competency in the knowledge of the RIS/HIS modules appropriate to their job descriptions.</li><li>Injects contrast for interventional radiology procedures in accordance with department policy.</li><li>Provides educational information to the patient regarding their examination.</li><li>Teaches and trains students in their specified technology, if site applicable.</li><li>Maintains responsibility for own professional development through active participation in in-services and/or continuing education programs.</li><li>Accurately adheres to downtime procedures to assure appropriate information is available resulting in excellent continuity of care for patients.</li><li>Trains in and understands sterile and sharps technique.</li><li>Accountable for quality of digital images sent to PACS. Verify correct patient is selected from worklist, ensures accuracy of Medical Record information prior to being sent to PACS.</li><li>Maintain competence in the use of the Patient Transport System.</li><li>Responsible for the success of the department to achieve Press Ganey goal of 90%.  Every patient should receive patient education and your personalized business card.  Apology cards should be sent or given to all patients when we do not meet their expectations.  You will be required to submit a list of these patients to your manager at evaluation time.</li></ul>PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:Frequent use of fingers and hands in operating equipment and in charting information.  Standing or walking for up to 7 hours per day in 60-minute increments.  Sitting for up to 1-hour per day in 15-minute increments.  Pushing, pulling and lifting patients up 300 pounds with assistance.  Lifting and moving objects up to 40 pounds.  Frequent stoops, bends and crouches.  Often reaches above shoulder level.  Hearing as it relates to normal hearing.  Seeing as it relates to normal vision.EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited ARRT program.  ARRT registered.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1-year staff technologist.  At least 1-year experience in interventional radiology preferred.  Required to obtain advanced Interventional Radiology registry within 1 year of hire.  Obtain CPR within 6 months of hire. Responsible for the implementation of effective processes for continuous management of AR in order to maximize financial outcomes. Development and maintenance of manuals used to educate the business office staff on the processes to be followed for effective billing and AR collections within our billing systems. Develop processes to decrease denials.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Ensures cash flow maximization and reimbursement optimization through the constant monitoring of accounts receivable activity.</li><li>Researches and implements new regulations as they pertain to billing and collection of AR accounts to ensure billing compliance.   </li><li>Performs ongoing analysis of accounts receivable reports and determines probable causes of inefficiencies inhibiting maximum collection performance. </li><li>Development of policies and procedures that accurately reflect business office operations.    Ongoing training and education with staff to ensure accurate billing and collection of accounts.</li><li>Participates in the network-wide revenue cycle audit initiative, encompassing the review of randomly selected accounts for their flow through the revenue cycle.  Assists in the trouble shooting and resolution of issues arising from the revenue cycle audits.</li><li>Establishes and maintains productivity measures to ensure appropriate staffing levels for maximum department effectiveness.</li><li>Assists department managers across the network in the development of billing protocols for new and/or existing services.  Assists in the necessary research of third party coverage guidelines for new and/or existing services.</li><li>Performs duties with a minimum of supervision, exhibits innovations and good judgment.</li><li>Ensures timely and accurate response to patient, physician office and insurance carrier inquiries regarding billing issues.</li><li>Able to direct personnel in a professional and courteous manner</li></ul>PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:Sitting for up to 8 hours per day, 3 hours at a time.  Consistent use of hands and fingers for typing, telephone, data entry, etc.  Occasional twisting and turning.  Uses upper extremities to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.  Stoops, bends and reaches above shoulder level to retrieve files.  Hearing as it relates to normal conversation.  Seeing as it relates to general vision.  Visual monotony when reading reports and viewing computer screen.EDUCATION:High School Diploma / GED required.
