The QA Manager is a full-time field-based position responsible for mechanical/civil inspection and oversight services to support the implementation and execution of the project site quality program. Duration: 12 months Contract   Job Description:<ul><li>The QA Manager is a full-time field-based position responsible for mechanical/civil inspection and oversight services to support the implementation and execution of the project site quality program.</li><li>Collaborate with contractors to resolve discrepancies and ambiguities and ensures all construction activities are performed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications, to include contract requirements. </li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Control and the distribution of all the company’s quality documentation</li><li>Monitor all quality related activities on the project</li><li>Perform daily inspections of the work being performed onsite.</li><li>Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the company’s management</li><li>Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals.</li><li>Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements</li><li>Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports.</li><li>Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements, when required.</li><li>Review and provide comments on all quality related correspondence with the contractor’s representatives.</li><li>Monitor statistical method reporting.</li><li>Review all turnover documentation upon the completion of the project.</li><li>Participate in all quality related activities with the designated representatives.</li><li>Attend monthly, weekly and daily meetings and provide perspective on all quality related subjects when needed. </li></ul>  Experience:<ul><li>5 years of experience in construction quality management. Construction experience preferred but not required.</li><li>Strong attention to detail.</li><li>Strong conflict resolution skills.</li><li>Prior utility experience.</li><li>Must be willing to travel.</li><li>Ability to plan and perform highly complex operations with the ability and authority to make decisions autonomously</li><li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills</li><li>Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office programs.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.</li></ul>Skillset:<ul><li>Cedar River Generating Station is a natural gas electric generating facility with a capacity of approximately 94 net megawatts (MWac).</li><li>The Project will consist of five Wärtsilä W18V50SG RICE generators. Each RICE generator will have a nominal capacity of 18.8 MW.
