Job Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Care CVICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience, including 1 year of CVICU experience License: Active nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS; CCRN preferred Must-Have: - Competence in invasive line monitoring (Swan Ganz, a-lines) - Experience with pacemakers (epicardial, transvenous), chest tubes, and cardiac medications (inotropes, vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics) - Knowledge in ventilator and tracheostomy management - Cardiac rhythm interpretation abilities - EPIC experience - Specific CV surgical experience (ECMO, CVVH, IABP, VAD) preferred Description: The unit is a critical care environment with a focus on cardiovascular patients. Support includes a charge nurse who rarely has patient assignments, with additional personnel available around the clock.
