Oregon SurgiCenter is an outpatient surgery center devoted to urologic procedures.The Certified Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) is responsible for maintaining instruments and equipment in an optimal fashion. Also responsible for preparing instrumentation, sterile supplies and OR and RR equipment for the surgical patient and the surgery center's physicians.Duties: <ul><li>Functions as a scrub technician in the Operating Room.</li><li>Assists with gowning and gloving other members of the surgical team.</li><li>Assists with the preparation of the Operating Room for surgical procedures.</li><li>Assists with skin preparations and with draping of patients.</li><li>Assists with care, preparation, maintenance and after-care of sterile and unsterile supplies and equipment.</li><li>Knows and practices the principles and techniques of sterile technique.</li><li>Handles specimens in accordance with procedures.</li><li>Removes drapes at end of procedure, cleanses the patient of prep solution and applies dressing as needed.</li><li>Cleans instruments and equipment after use and returns it to proper area for storage or processing.</li><li>Differentiates sterilization methods required for specific instruments and equipment.</li><li>Assists with stocking, replenishing and preparation of supplies.</li><li>Assists with housekeeping duties as necessary to provide a safe environment.</li><li>Participates in sponge, instrument and needle count with the circulating nurse as deemed necessary</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.</li><li>Current CST certification.</li><li>Current BLS certification. </li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>2 years of Urology experience, preferred.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Knowledge in fundamentals of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and maintenance and care of equipment.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Basic knowledge of surgical procedures needs and steps in use of materials.</li></ul>Position Requirements: <ul><li>Demonstrates cooperative work attitude toward and with co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians.</li><li>Maintains Certification in CPR.</li><li>Maintains regular attendance.</li><li>Possesses strong initiative to get daily work finished and processed.</li><li>Has the ability to communicate effectively with physicians and other staff members.</li><li>Follows HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality.</li></ul>All candidates must pass a drug screen, reference, and background check to be considered for employment. This is a Full-time position. As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will provide rapid assessment, critical thinking, and lifesaving interventions in a fast-paced emergency room environment. 
Key Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity
	</li><li>Provide emergency nursing care to trauma, cardiac, stroke, pediatric, and medical-surgical patients
	</li><li>Initiate IV access, administer medications, and manage emergency interventions
	</li><li>Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to life-threatening conditions
	</li><li>Assist with trauma resuscitations and critical procedures
	</li><li>Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams
	</li><li>Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
	</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
	</li><li>Ensure patient safety and uphold evidence-based emergency nursing practices
</li></ul>Education & Certification Requirements<ul><li>Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
	</li><li>Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
	</li><li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
	</li><li>Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
	</li><li>ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
	</li><li>PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred 
	</li><li>TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
	</li><li>Minimum 12 years of Emergency Department or high-acuity acute care experience preferred
