Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to: environmental and analytical chemistry, geochemistry, and/or reactive transport in surface, subsurface and engineered systems; environmental biotechnology and bioprocess engineering; emerging contaminants and their detection, fate, transport, treatment, and remediation; advanced water and wastewater treatment, including membrane and nanomaterial-based technologies; resource recovery, waste valorization, and circular-economy approaches, including recovery of critical materials; environmental sensing and real-time monitoring; and data-driven environmental engineering, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital twins, and intelligent environmental systems. Position Description The successful applicant(s) will be required to develop an externally funded research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Civil and Environmental, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, produce scholarly publications, collaborate with other faculty on professional development interests, and provide departmental, college and university service.
