Provide legal guidance on research issues including federal and Wisconsin laws relating to clinical trials and IRB, compliance with federal research regulations and guidelines, advising on data sharing and HIPAA privacy and security issues, bioethics, human and animal subject protections, industry collaborations, scientific misconduct, material transfer agreements, and corporate compliance. Advise philanthropy operation on legal matters relating to charitable giving, sponsorship, building naming agreements or other philanthropic specific agreements; Provide legal advice on intellectual property matters including trademark, copyright, trade secrets and possible infringement.
