This role ensures that product baselines, technical data, and documentation are accurately maintained and controlled throughout the system lifecycle. The Data Science Specialist will collaborate with engineering, program management, logistics, and quality teams to ensure compliance with customer, contractual, and internal CM requirements.   This position is contingent upon contract award. </div> </div> <div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"> <div style="word-wrap:break-word"> <h2 style="margin:0.0px"> What You Will Do </h2> </div> <div> <ul> <li> Coordinates with government customer to determine process improvements for software Configuration Management.  </li> <li> Performs planning, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of software Configuration Management methods.  </li> <li> Ensures supported programs follow Configuration Management security controls.  </li> <li> Utilizes advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of organizational programs, establishing study methods and techniques and analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of software running government applications.  </li> <li> Participates in meetings and projects with stakeholders, staff, project managers, etc. to render project activities into actionable solutions across business units and initiatives.  </li> <li> Effectively assesses and responds to highly complex and time sensitive issues.  </li> <li> Reviews business requirements and other documentation from multiple sources to identify and resolve cross initiative dependencies and ensure consistency of configuration management approach and application across the government program offices.  </li> <li> Provides guidance or technical supervision to less experienced staff performing configuration management functions.  </li> <li> Provides Configuration Management software system tool administrative control, to include account creation, setting roles/permissions, providing system training, and troubleshooting issues.  </li> <li> Reviews program Systems Engineering Plans in support of Technical Reviews to ensure configuration management requirements are adhered to. CM Analyst validates the deliverables depicted in the SEP to ensure the artifacts are reposed in the CM repository in support of the specific Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) event.  </li> </ul> </div> </div> <div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"> <div style="word-wrap:break-word"> <h2 style="margin:0.0px"> What You Must Have </h2> </div> <div> <ul> <li> 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience. </li> <li> An active Secret clearance is required. </li> <li> Experience writing and maintaining Configuration Management (CM) Plans and Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs). </li> <li> Experience developing and improving Program CM processes, including “Agile” methodology. </li> <li> Experience documenting and performing version control processes and procedures. </li> <li> Experience establishing and maintaining program CM document libraries. </li> <li> Experience in scheduling, facilitating, and recording meeting minutes for CM meetings. </li> <li> Able to multi-task and handle multiple projects and deadlines. </li> <li> Ability to think independently with minimal oversight. </li> <li> Exceptional written and oral communications skills. </li> <li> Exemplary customer/client management skills and techniques. </li> <li> Experience with Windows 2010, MS Office 2016 software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) and Adobe software. </li> </ul> </div> </div> <div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"> <div style="word-wrap:break-word"> <h2 style="margin:0.0px"> Bonus Points For Having! </h2> </div> <div> <ul> <li> Relevant configuration management or agile certification </li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> The listed salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities.
