At NorthBay Health the Armed Security Officer is responsible for promoting a safe healthcare environment by serving as a deterrent to violent behavior and/or criminal activity through their presence and ability to respond to an incident that poses a serious threat of death or great bodily injury. The Armed Security Officer is primarily assigned to the Emergency Department and associated waiting areas. Their security and safety responsibilities extend to all medical facilities owned and/or operated by NorthBay HealthCare and individual assignments or responsibilities may be dependent on the activity, need for assistance or direction of the Security Program Director. Perform other duties as assigned.Education:Possession of a high-school diploma of graduation or equivalent.Experience:Previous experience in security, military or law enforcement is highly desirable.Licensure:Possession of a valid motor vehicle license and willingness to operate motor vehicles in the course of employment.A clean driving record is required evidenced by annual submittal of a DMV driving record and Human Resources.Must possess upon date of hire a California Concealed Weapons Permit.Must possess California Guard Card and Exposed to carry permit.Successful completion of all State of California firearms qualification training as outlined in California Business and Professions Code Sections 7583.5, 7583.6, 7583.7 and California Code of regulations Sections 628, 631 and 632 and any other applicable laws not listed here.
