WORK SCHEDULE FOR THIS POSITION:Full time days.     The Plumber performs plumbing projects, scheduled preventive maintenance and repair to any type of water usage equipment or vessel in order to keep the hospital operating normally and to ensure proper patient care and comfort. Provides plumbing to and from new equipment to confirm to current codes. In addition, the Plumber is responsible to assist with general security duties, respond to all security alerts, fires, and disasters (i.e.; Disasters Levels I, II, III, and IV, etc.).JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Be able to install, repair, and maintain various parts and components of equipment within the facilities.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment.</li><li>Have knowledge of general commercial building maintenance.</li><li>Be skilled in the operation of all tools within the trades.</li><li>Be able to activate and deactivate the hospital fire system.</li><li>Be able to read blueprints, etc.</li><li>Be able to requisition material as needed.</li><li>Be able to complete applicable paperwork.</li><li>Complete jobs thoroughly and accurately in a timely manner.</li><li>Cooperates with other departments and work groups.</li><li>Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner. Demonstrates both problem solving and prevention skills equal to the expected level of responsibility to their jobs.</li><li>Completes assignments within the allotted time, taking into consideration the needs of patients, customers, and client.</li><li>Works carefully and precisely, with attention to detail.</li><li>Organizes and delivers service in the proper order. Displays good organizational skills and utilizes resources appropriately.</li><li>Performs duties with initiative and willingness. Shares necessary information with coworkers when appropriate or needed.</li><li>Remains composed in stressful situations and takes action to restore calm if job appropriate.</li><li>Be a member of the security alert and disaster response teams.</li><li>Assist with other security duties as required.</li><li>Performs work in accordance with local, state, and national code compliance in his/her zone and reports violations directly to the supervisory and management personnel in Engineering. Accurately documents task completing utilizing computerized maintenance management system.</li><li>Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.</li><li>Other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>PHYSICIAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:Requires standing for up to eight (8) hours per day, walking for up to four (4) hours per day, and sitting for extended periods of up to two (2) hours. Lifting loads of up to 60 lbs. and pushing loads of up to 300 lbs. Bending, crouching, reaching, twisting, climbing (stairs and ladders), and manual dexterity to complete tasks. Seeing as it relates to normal vision, and hearing as it relates to normal hearing.MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate (G.E.D.)TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:Experience must include all phases of plumbing installation and repairs and in-depth knowledge of plumbing codes.  Minimum three years trade school and five years' experience.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must have and maintain valid PA or NJ Driver’s License accepted by the Network insurance carrier and a good driving record.
