<h2>Full time schedule 8 to 4:30</h2><ul><li>Full Time 8:00am -4:30pm </li></ul><h2>Job Description</h2>Responsible for performing specialized and routine landscape installation and maintenance to general and specific areas of the community. In addition, will facilitate and assist in the execution of resident-based landscape activities.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS <ol><li>Minimum two years of experience in landscaping/grounds management and irrigation systems.</li><li>Pool and spa certification required if pools or spas is on property.</li><li>Pesticide applicator license required.</li><li>Valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth of Virginia and meet Pinnacle Living risk management requirements.</li></ol>JOB DUTIES<ol><li>Provide specialized horticultural services not included in service contract including but not limited to pruning of select trees and plant materials plus installation and maintenance of seasonal color: annual and perennial flowers/foliage. </li><li>Maintain natural areas Preserve, Pond, Trails consistent with the landscape design and needs of the resident community.</li><li>Support and facilitate horticulture activities to include:</li><li>Garden volunteers, programs, and activities</li><li>Resident Community Gardeners and Gardens</li><li>Preparation of planting beds plus instruction and guidance in planting</li><li>Workshops or activities related to horticulture, nature, and ponds</li><li>Maintains a list of landscape related activities and swimming pools/spa needs for planning and executing in-house and contract service options.  Assists as a contact between the community and contractors to ensure services meet the needs and the terms of the contract.   </li><li>Monitors and maintains water quality of swimming pools, spa/hot tub which includes the associated chemical pumps and equipment that run each system. </li><li>Acts as a liaison with irrigation maintenance contractors and horticulturist on start-up, winterization, system repairs and monitoring of controllers and run times as seasonally needed.</li><li>Monitors and maintains water quality of pond water feature and which includes the associated pumps and equipment that run each system.</li><li>Provides remedial watering support to community landscape beds, containers and seasonal plantings.  Provides watering support to volunteers when they have a conflict.</li><li>Provides support to community transportation requests when an unforeseen need arises including driving company vehicles for rounds or to shuttle residents and team members.</li><li>All other duties as assigned.</li></ol>QUALIFICATIONS<ol><li>Broad knowledge of plants, weeds, and insects common to the area.</li><li>Knowledgeable in irrigation system operation and maintenance.</li><li>Knowledgeable with the use of over-the-counter insecticides, fungicides and animal related control products and regulations.</li><li>Knowledge of turf maintenance</li><li>Able to communicate effectively with the elderly and with other team members.</li><li>Must possess a pleasant and cheerful manner and be able to work within a team.</li><li>Anility to read, write and communicate using the English language.</li></ol>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<ol><li>Able to lift up to 75lbs frequently and repeatedly in a standard working shift.</li><li>Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and walking including outside on uneven surfaces.</li><li>Works inside in a variety of settings and outside in heat and cold.</li><li>Some weekend and evening work may be required.</li><li>Must be available to work in inclement weather including weather emergencies such as snow and rainstorms.</li><li>Exposure to the sights, sounds and odors of a typical long-term care and health care environment serving senior citizens, some with dementia. </li></ol>INDO<h2>Benefits</h2><ul><li>Double Time when working designated holidays Holiday Pay — for non-exempt team members </li><li>PTO with a Cash Out option available  </li><li>8 Federal Holidays, including Martin Luther King Day and Juneteenth</li><li>One Paid Personal Day per year</li><li>Free parking available</li><li>6% Retirement Matching 403(b)</li><li>PayActiv – Cash advance on your paycheck available</li><li>Employee Assistance Program – LifeSolutions EAP</li><li>Full Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance options are available for individuals or families</li><li>Zero cost to team members: $50,000 term life insurance policy</li><li>Short-term Disability Insurance available</li><li>Immunizations available</li><li>Tuition Assistance Program available</li><li>Team Member referral bonus available</li><li>EVEN MORE BENEFITS AVAILABLE Depending on location.</li></ul><h2>Company Description</h2>A Top Richmond Workplace Winner for the 7th year in a row!  At Cedarfield our team members are dedicated to creating a community where age does not define the person.
