This includes knowing how to care for all types of landscape material. The ideal candidate will be an experienced landscaper with strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship. As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality execution of assigned landscape projects while fostering a collaborative and safe work environment for your team. <br/><br/></div><div><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></div><div><strong>Crew Guidance and support:</strong></div><ul><li>Lead and work alongside a team of 2 to 3 landscape technicians and laborers. </li><li>Clearly communicate daily tasks and project goals to crew members.</li><li>Demonstrate proper landscaping techniques and provide on-the-job training and guidance.</li><li>Encourage teamwork and a positive work ethic within the crew.</li><li>Report crew progress and any challenges to the supervisor. </li></ul><div><br/><strong>Maintenance: </strong></div><ul><li>Oversee and participate in all aspects of landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, weeding, fertilization, and debris removal.</li><li>Ensure efficient and high-quality completion of scheduled maintenance tasks. </li><li>Identify and report any plant health issues, irrigation problems, or other site concerns.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Equipment and Safety: </strong></div><ul><li>Operate and maintain various landscape equipment safely and effectively (mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools, etc.).</li><li>Ensure the safe loading, unloading, and securing of equipment and materials.</li><li>Conduct daily equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.</li><li>Enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for the crew.</li><li>Properly use and maintain all personal protective equipment (PPE).</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Client Interaction:</strong></div><ul><li>Interact professionally with clients on-site, addressing basic questions and concerns.</li><li>Represent RDW Texas in a positive and courteous manner.</li><li>Report and client requests or issues to the Supervisor.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Administrative tasks:</strong></div><ul><li>Complete daily time sheets and other required paperwork accurately and on time.</li><li>Report any material needs or shortages to the Supervisor.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional landscaping maintenance position.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership potential or prior experience leading small teams.</li><li>Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and techniques.</li><li>Ability to operate and maintain common landscaping equipment safely and effectively.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.</li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.</li><li>Valid driver's license.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Benefits: </strong></div><ul><li>Competitive hourly wage (commensurate with experience).</li><li>Paid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays).</li><li>Opportunities for advancement and professional development.</li><li>Training opportunities.</li></ul><div> </div><div><strong>To Apply:</strong></div><div>Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you believe you would be a great fit for this position.</div><div> </div><div>RDW Texas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity.
