What You'll Do:
Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible to ensure that all required tasks on a project from proposal to final invoice payment are completed either by themselves or by subordinates. The Senior Project Manager is primarily responsible for the completion and overall success of the project. Senior Project Manager will act as the main point of contact for the client on their projects. The ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values. Key Responsibilities<ul><li style="text-align:justify">Actively mentor junior staff and support overall development of the team</li><li style="text-align:justify">Attend project meetings and provide solutions to technical and administrative issues as necessary</li><li style="text-align:justify">Market our services. Maintain and further develop the client database</li><li style="text-align:justify">Strong ability to manage project budgets and prepare change orders. Manage your project budgets and oversee project budgets of others as assigned. Review change orders and invoices. Assist with collection efforts</li><li style="text-align:justify">Scheduling, training and oversight of subordinate staff members</li><li style="text-align:justify">Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Oversee environmental projects. Assist junior staff with resolution of issues and training of field staff. Responsible for several projects being performed simultaneously.</li><li style="text-align:justify">Oversee the preparation and review of proposals and change orders</li><li style="text-align:justify">Prepare environmental reports, perform analysis and provide recommendations. Oversee the preparation and review of environmental reports from junior staff</li><li style="text-align:justify">Perform peer/senior review of deliverables prior to submission for Principal review</li><li style="text-align:justify">Host or attend project discussions with clients, follow up on reports to determine if there are questions</li><li style="text-align:justify">Collaborate with other managers to make staffing decisions</li><li>Direct project set up and implementation with junior staff. Ensure that appropriately trained and experienced staff are assigned.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local wetlands regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies.</li><li>Independently prepare reports to be reviewed by a Principal. Review reports that are completed by subordinates prior to Principal review. Lead client meetings and or calls to present/discuss report findings and conclusions.</li><li>Communicate with junior staff to direct field work. Perform site visits as required on the project. What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of related experience</li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license preferred</li></ul>Skills and Abilities<ul><li>Extensive knowledge of environmental principles and applications.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods</li><li>Extensive ability to manage and develop new clients. Seek out opportunities to develop relationships with clients.</li><li>Review and provide feedback of field and laboratory testing by others.
