Osmose Utilities is currently seeking a GIS Analyst in our Depew, NY office able to work a HYBRID schedule must be local to perform GIS related tasks and develop configurations and processes to prepare customer data for import to the company's system. Our field technicians, professional engineers, scientists, and corrosion experts utilize their expertise to identify and solve issues to make utility infrastructure safer, longer lasting, and more resilient.

<p>Osmose Utilities is currently seeking a<strong> GIS Analyst in our Depew, NY </strong>office able to work a HYBRID schedule must be local to perform GIS related tasks and develop configurations and processes to prepare customer data for import to the company's system.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Import, process, and validate customer provided data for import into our system.</li><li>Utilize tools provided to build deliverable import/export configurations.</li><li>Generate reports as requested by internal or external customers.</li><li>Track and report on the processing status for each customer.</li><li>Adhere to quality assurance standards.</li><li>Communicate with customers as needed to resolve data issues.</li><li>Train, coach, and supervise GIS Technicians while monitoring departmental output and quality standards.</li><li>Develop configurations and processes to prepare customer data for import to our system.</li><li>Contribute to other projects, plans and teams not specifically noted above, to achieve the goals of the Company.</li><li>Learn and perform other teams' tasks to provide support within the department as needed.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Master’s Degree in preferably in Geography or GIS or related technical discipline or 2+ years of related experience and/or training.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of GIS software, primarily the ESRI ecosystem</li><li>Working knowledge of geoprocessing scripts, preferably Python</li><li>Strong understanding of database concepts.</li><li>Highly proficient in MS Access, Excel and Word.</li><li>Highly organized and detail oriented.</li><li>Ability to multitask effectively.</li><li>Ability to learn processes, procedures and software independently and quickly.</li></ul><div style="background:#eeeeee;border:1px solid #cccccc;padding:5px 10px"><strong>About Osmose</strong></div><div style="background:#eeeeee;border:1px solid #cccccc;padding:5px 10px">Osmose is the market-leading provider of critical resiliency, assessment, and restoration services for electric transmission, distribution, and telecommunications companies. <p>Osmose Utilities is currently seeking a GIS Technician this <strong>position is Hybrid with remote with in office work schedule.</strong> Responsible for the processing of customer source data and field collected data using standard and GIS tools.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:</p><ul><li>Import process, and validate customer provided data for import into our system.</li><li>Utilize tools provided to build import/export configurations.</li><li>Generate reports as requested by internal/external customers.</li><li>Track and report on the processing status for each customer</li><li>Adhere to quality assurance status for each customer</li><li>Communicate with customers as needed to resolve data issues.</li><li>Communicate with team to determine data and delivery requirements.</li><li>Follow standards procedures and process including the use of required checklists.</li><li>Contribute to other projects, plans and teams not specifically noted to achieve organization goals.</li><li>Analyze, validate and process data from the field organization in ArcGIS using standard and custom tools</li><li>Generate data reports as needed to support the various projects.</li><li>Communicate with customer as needed to resolve data issues.</li><li>Contribute to other projects, plans and teams not specifically noted to achieve the goals of the Company.</li></ul><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong>:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in preferably in Geography or GIS or related technical discipline or previous related experience and/or training.</li><li>Fundamental knowledge of ArcGIS and other GIS software primarily the ESRI ecosystem.</li><li>Strong understanding of database concepts.</li><li>Highly proficient in MS Access, Excel and Word.</li><li>Highly organized and detail oriented.</li><li>Ability to learn processes, procedures and software independently and quickly.</li><li>Ability to multitask effectively.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Willingness to work varied hours when needed.</li></ul><div style="background:#eeeeee;border:1px solid #cccccc;padding:5px 10px"><strong><u>About Osmose:</u></strong></div><div style="background:#eeeeee;border:1px solid #cccccc;padding:5px 10px">Osmose is the market-leading provider of critical resiliency, assessment, and restoration services for electric transmission, distribution, and telecommunications companies.</div><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><p>Come grow with us!
