Reporting to the Audit Manager, the Senior Accountant will work closely with internal leadership & staff to ensure the timely completion of Local Government audits. This includes, but is not limited to audit planning, walkthroughs, scheduling, review & presentation of audit findings. Additionally, the Senior Accountant may also play an active role in the training, development, and hiring of others.What will you do in this role?<ul><li>Conduct and review audit tests which are sufficient in scope to support professional opinions as to the fair representation of client financial statements.</li><li>Develop self and others through seeking and offering on the job coaching and engagement experiences.</li><li>Develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction.</li><li>Build strong credibility through displaying positive insight and business acumen, applying technical competence and engaging in relevant discussions with clients and engagement teams.</li><li>Consult with clients on various internal accounting related transactions.</li><li>Provide strategic and tactical accounting advice and recommendations to companys clientele.</li><li>Provide review of staff work product and performance.</li><li>Deliver exceptional client support virtually and onsite as needed.</li></ul>What do you need to succeed in this role?<ul><li>BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>3+ years of progressive public accounting background with management experience.</li><li>Experience with governmental audits (school districts, specifically) preferred.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple engagement and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.</li><li>Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.</li><li>Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software.</li><li>Strong technical accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS.</li><li>CPA certification or eligibility to sit is highly desirable.</li></ul>In compliance with this states pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $86,000. Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Project Management</li><li>Multi-Discipline Project Coordination</li><li>Mentor junior staff</li><li>Perform work that may include, but is not limited to, construction document (plan and specifications), technical reports preparation and/or oversight; engineering analyses, cost estimates and quality control/quality assurance in order to deliver a quality design product.</li><li>Implement regulatory requirements and design standards</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul>Supervisory responsibilities include assisting the Department Manager in:<ul><li style="color:black">Growing, mentoring, and developing the staff within discipline area to allow each person to achieve their maximum potential.</li><li style="color:black">Minimum annual evaluations for each direct report.</li><li style="color:black">Providing technical guidance/leadership for discipline area.</li><li style="color:black">Organizing staff in a way to allow career advancement, professional development, quality client service, and operational efficiencies to meet business and project financial goals.</li><li style="color:black">Taking a very active role in recruitment of staff in discipline area including networking, recruitment, interviewing and “deal closing”.</li></ul>

Required Skills & Required Experience:
<ul><li>BS degree in Civil Engineering.</li><li>Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred. </li><li>8-10+ years of design experience desired, related to civil engineer related design projects.</li><li>AutoCad required and Civil3D and Microstation preferable.</li><li>Looking for experience in site/civil design, roadway/transportation design, stormwater management and project management skills.  </li><li>Communicates effectively.</li></ul>The projected range for this position is $133,000-$172,000 annually.
