SummaryThe Equipment Operator will work collaboratively with the Laborers and Foreman for completion of jobsite activities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, backhoes, etc.</li><li>Use various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping, and banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating, and stockpiling.</li><li>Utilize GPS systems, read and understand grade stakes and hubs for grade control and finishing</li><li>Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures</li><li>Work outdoors on location in all weather conditions and on all terrain</li><li>Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment</li><li>Repair or assist in the repair and maintenance of the construction vehicles</li><li>Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required including fluid and filter changes and parts lubrication</li><li>Clean equipment as scheduled or when required</li><li>Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored when finished for the day</li><li>Practice workplace safety per OSHA standards</li><li>Ability to work independently and to stay on top of the schedule</li><li>Willingness to do work outside of equipment operations, which includes but is not limited to general labor work</li><li>Maintains a neat appearance and dresses appropriately for the job</li><li>Good attendance</li><li>Is a team player, and communicates well</li><li>Presents a positive attitude about the company and the job</li></ul>QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
