<h1>Togetherhood is Coming to DC!</h1><p>We've built an incredible network of over 400 teachers, coaches, and instructors in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Now Togetherhood is coming to DC, and we're looking for amazing instructors who are seeking flexible, good-paying, supplemental work, and are excited about having the freedom to use their own lesson plans and curriculum.</p><p/><h1>About Togetherhood</h1><p>At Togetherhood, we're building something special: a vibrant marketplace where passionate educators meet schools and communities hungry for enrichment. If you're a dynamic instructor who loves what you teach and why you teach it, we'd love for you to be part of Togetherhood.</p><p/><h1>April Class</h1><p>We have an immediate opportunity starting in April 2026, teaching K-2nd graders on Tuesdays in southeast DC! We're also always looking for new instructors for our network for all kinds of classes -- read on to learn more. </p><p/><h1>What You'll Do</h1><p>As a member of our network, you will be matched with opportunities to teach soccer to K-12 students at schools, buildings, and communities across DC<em>.</em> These teaching opportunities will be for terms that could last anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 weeks. </p><p>As an after school instructor, you'll have the following responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for your class</li><li>Create memorable experience for the children in your class to help them grow and develop a passion for <i>soccer</i></li><li>Consistently arrive at your class on time (or early!), prepared with the lesson plan for the day</li><li>Help children understand why <i>soccer</i> is so wonderful and how it's helped shape you as a person</li><li>Togetherhood instructors earn $80 - $120 for each one hour class</li></ul><p/><h1>Who You Are</h1><p>A fun, enthusiastic, adaptable instructor, with experience teaching school age children, and who:<br/></p><ul><li>Has excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning</li><li>Knows how to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment</li><li>Brings your own voice and creativity to each class you teach</li><li>Is cooperative, supportive, flexible</li><li>Is dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy … and also appreciates support and clear expectations</li></ul><p/><h1>How To Apply</h1><ul><li>Click the Link!</li><li>Provide a resume showcasing relevant teaching experience</li><li>If you lack formal teaching experience, please share any other relevant experience or training — either in a cover letter, or there's a space on the application questionnaire</li><li>If you're new to teaching and are interested in after school assistant positions, please <a href="https://togetherhood.breezy.hr/p/fe6916d234bb-after-school-classroom-assistant-dc" rel="nofollow">click here</a> to learn more!</li></ul><p/><h1>What to Expect</h1><ul><li>If your resume is a fit, we'll reach out to set up a screening call on Google Meet</li><li>Candidates advancing from screenings will have a second video interview, including sharing a sample lesson plan</li><li>The final step of the process is onboarding into our platform, ready to accept classes!</li></ul>
