KDG Construction Consulting is seeking a Field Supervisor - Hand Grader with a background in K-12 Education Facility Construction to support facility condition assessment teams and oversee daily field assignments. The Field Supervisor will identify and collect building system data across District sites, utilize tablets and other digital platforms for data entry, and apply construction knowledge to evaluate visible and concealed building components. This role will assess overall building conditions and remaining service life of facility systems while working collaboratively with team members and District stakeholders to support accurate and efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities:<ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Identifies and collects building component data on systems installed at District sites.</li></ul><ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Uses various computer formats to enter data (e.g., Tablets, laptops, Smartphones, etc.)</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Uses knowledge and experience in building construction to identify building systems that are hidden behind walls, ceilings, and floors.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Assesses the overall condition and remaining service life of building system components based on construction experience and knowledge. Applies direction and guidance on determining RSL Values specific to LAUSD from FCA Unit leadership.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Works collaboratively with other trade surveyors to gather quantities, measurements, boilerplate information, etc., as needed and directed.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Conducts/Supports ad hoc surveys related to District sites and buildings on an as-needed basis.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">May supervise the performance of staff and survey participants as needed; serve as a resource to staff</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Candidates without a bachelor’s degree must have at least 10 years of experience. Four of the ten years of experience may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">6 or more years full-time paid professional experience working with on-site construction management teams as well as with campus administrators, faculty, and staff.</li></ul>Compensation:<ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-bottom:11px">$104,000.00 - $114,000.00 (Annual).
