<div style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:16px">SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Field Supervisor – Maintenance & Operations Hand Grader to support facilities assessments and building systems evaluations for projects with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).This role is ideal for a construction or facilities professional with strong field experience, technical knowledge of building systems, and the ability to accurately assess building conditions and remaining service life. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with construction teams, campus administrators, and trade surveyors across a variety of educational facilities.Duties & Responsibilities• Building & Facility Assessments<ul><li>Identify and collect building component data for systems installed at District facilities</li><li>Assess overall condition and remaining service life of building system components</li><li>Utilize construction knowledge to identify systems concealed behind walls, ceilings, and floors</li><li>Apply established guidelines and standards when evaluating facility conditions and RSL values</li></ul>• Field Operations & Data Collection<ul><li>Conduct site assessments and facility surveys across District properties</li><li>Gather quantities, measurements, and supporting field information as required</li><li>Utilize tablets, laptops, smartphones, and related technology to document and input field data accurately</li><li>Support ad hoc surveys and special site investigations as needed</li></ul>• Team Collaboration & Leadership<ul><li>Work collaboratively with trade surveyors, field staff, and project teams</li><li>Coordinate with campus administrators, faculty, and District personnel during field activities</li><li>May supervise survey participants and support staff as required</li><li>Serve as a technical resource and provide guidance to team members when needed</li></ul>• Project Support<ul><li>Maintain organized records and documentation of field findings</li><li>Assist in ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all assessments</li><li>Support ongoing facility planning and maintenance initiatives</li></ul>Qualifications & Requirements• Required Experience<ul><li>Minimum 6+ years of full-time professional experience working with:
<ul><li>On-site construction management teams</li><li>Campus administrators, faculty, and staff</li></ul></li><li>Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and facility assessments</li><li>Experience evaluating building conditions and identifying concealed systems/components</li></ul>• Required Education<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in:
<ul><li>Engineering</li><li>Architecture</li><li>Construction Management</li><li>Or related field</li></ul></li><li>Candidates without a degree must possess:
<ul><li>Minimum 10 years of relevant experience</li><li>Four years of experience may substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis</li></ul></li></ul>• Technical Skills<ul><li>Proficient with:
