Responsibilities: • Assist in planning process of SOAR and Orientation Online modules • Work closely with fellow Orientation GA to functionally supervise undergraduate orientation staff in day-to-day office operations • Facilitate team meetings with undergraduate student staff, including 1:1 meetings as needed • Supervise the OGLs throughout the SOAR programs • Plan and implement OGL training curriculum in collaboration with campus partners • Collaborate with University Event Services to reserve locations for OGL and LOGI recruitment and training events • Assist with recruitment, program delivery, and assessment of orientation and transition programs • Oversee marketing and design of recruitment materials by writing and working with student staff to develop creative recruitment strategies • Assist with preparing documentation and payment for orientation-related purchases (e.g. The Orientation Graduate Assistant works closely with their fellow GA to supervise undergraduate Orientation staff in day-to-day operations, as well as oversee two Student Assistants year round, the Orientation Group Leaders (OGLs) up to and through SOAR programs, and the Connect Logistics Team (LOGIs) during EMU Connect.
