Position Summary:We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Camp Counselors to help create a fun, safe, and supportive camp environment. Camp Counselors lead and participate in daily activities, supervise campers, and serve as positive role models. This role requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and a genuine interest in working with children. Camp Counselors play a key role in ensuring campers feel included, supported, and engaged while having a memorable camp experience.<h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ol><li>Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.</li><li>Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, enrichment, and outdoor play.</li><li>Foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive environment for all students.</li><li>Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.</li><li>Monitor attendance and ensure accurate daily check-in/check-out procedures.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and shared spaces.</li><li>Follow all school and program policies and procedures, including emergency protocols.</li></ol><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ol><li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is highly preferred.</li><li>Strong classroom management and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Passionate about working with children of various ages and backgrounds.</li><li>CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).</li><li>Must pass background checks and meet state/local licensing requirements.</li><li>Must be able to be outside in the Texas summer heat for limited periods of time.</li></ol><h3>Preferred Skills & Traits:</h3><ol><li>Creative, energetic, and adaptable</li><li>Culturally responsive and inclusive</li><li>Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities</li></ol><h3>Video Portion:</h3>Please submit a short video telling us about you and why you think you would make a great addition to our Summer 360 team!
